Dudas del inglés y español: A, ONE
El ARTÍCULO contrastado con el DETERMINANTE (ADJETIVO) NUMERAL.
Equivocación muy corriente es la de emplear one en vez de a; p. ej.: I have one book. en lugar de I have a book. La primera es "tengo un solo libro". La segunda significa "tengo un libro", sin hacer referencia al número. === Con hundred y thousand se puede emplear a o one; p. ej. a hundred y one hundred; a thousand y one thousand. = Con las palabras day, night, week, month, etc., suele usarse one, con el significado de "cierto", p. ej.: He came one day. "Él vino un día".
